What is the Playyoo Flash Extension?

The Playyoo Flash Extension is a downloadable executable application which, when run, adds functionality to Adobe Flash (version 8 Pro or CS3) using the Adobe Extension Manager. It introduces one or more menu-level commands which are used to initiate the creation of a Playyoo game. The Flash Extension includes auto-update functionality, which allows Playyoo to update features and functions from time to time using the Adobe Extension Manager.

Why is it needed?

Playyoo games require some standard features in order to integrate within the overall Playyoo framework. These include a set of variables, scenes and movie clips which support the standard community features, and allow the game to be "sandwiched" between two brief advertising segments.

How it works

Running the command creates a new .FLA document configured to create a Flash Lite game, and providing the mandatory framework within which a Flash Lite developer must create games for Playyoo. By using the template, and following the associated rules and guidelines, developers can ensure that Playyoo features such as advertising and variables do not get in the way of their defined gameplay, and conversely the gameplay does not interfere with the correct display of adverts and other standard Playyoo features
